If
you fish any of the Makin's winter leagues you will have no doubt seen the WC4
or Wire Wolvey as it has become known. Some of the top anglers there have been
using this pattern for maybe 4 years now, this year many anglers were using the
4x10 and a specially made smaller size for fishing shallow in the summer. This
float is the same body as the Wolvey but has a finer cane tip (1.5mm) and a wire
stem. The float is used when drawn against an island and fished of the shelf,
which is where the fish tend to be in the colder months.
