This was originally to be a new Silver Fish range for commercial fisheries (I'm still a "Roach head"). And while testing and developing these new patterns on my local Stillwater's I was amazed at the amount of anglers asking me to make Copies of floats they could no longer get for basic Carp Fishing! and with these patterns in mind, over the next 12 months I expect this range to grow considerable, and of course, will include the new silver fish range which is due for launch at the end of August. In time for the many silver fish winter leagues now being run on the commercial circuit.
As my float catalogue is so vast now and to save any confusion, I thought it better to just reference this range as BS followed by pattern number and size. (to be honest I've ran out of names!) and as they are all Basic/Simple designs and all the bodies will be finished in a high satin Black, this new Stillwater range from me (MB) is a no BullS##t!! Black Specials range.
First out, albeit a bit late are the shallow patterns. Four patterns in all (three for short line and one for too hand fishing). All with fishing 18inches (450mm) or less in mind, at which depths most Carp are caught between June and August. Weither it be fishing open water, against a far bank feature or simply down the margins the BS1, BS2 and BS3 should cover most situations. While the BS4 is not really a Carp float, but a float I've used for sometime on Stillwater's when I can get fish close enough to catch too hand.
